What is a Poker bot?
A Poker bot, or Poker Robot, is a program or piece of software that
is normally hooked up to an Online Poker Site, and makes decisions
about the current hand that is being played, and acts accordingly
(Bets, Folds, Raises etc), just as if you were playing the hand
yourself.
Before we start. We
would like to make our position here at
Purely-Poker.Com perfectly
clear with regards to Poker Bots, Poker Robots, or what ever else
you would like to call them. We do not, and will not, condone any
form of cheating whatsoever.
Winholdem
So, while we are on the
subject of cheating, let us cover the first bot, that does exactly
that. Now I am sure a few of you will already know the name of the
program I'm talking about. "Winholdem". we will not endorse the use of it in any way.
What this software allows you to do that we find so repulsive, is that
it allows its owner to collude with other players online who are
also in possession of this piece of kit. In other words, they
disclose each other's cards. For those of you who do find the idea
of cheating attractive, and are maybe tempted to rush off and obtain it from
site, here are a few words of wisdom. You will not be purchasing an
out of the box bot. You'll have to program it yourself, and will
have to have a very good knowledge of C to do so. If you have this
knowledge, you will have to spend hundreds if not thousands of hours
trying to produce a workable bot. And all this for a bargain price of $200 PER
ANNUM. Texas-Holdem-Bot
Now here is a pokerbot your going to like, mainly
because it is FREE!
Its called Texas-Holdem-Bot, and works
on the same principle as the casinorobots.com scam that we have
reviewed further down the page. What we mean is, that you have to sign up
for a poker site, and they receive a commission. We have nothing
against this, as long as the Poker bot works, and this one does.
Its an "out of the box" bot, which means you do not have to spend
any time configuring it. You just open the poker site, click on the
program, and away it goes. It has 2 modes, Play and Real Money.
It plays quite loose in Play Mode, but if you do decide to let it
loose on the Real Money tables, then you will see a big difference
in its playing techniques.
It also has a stop and start button, so if you just want to use it
to fold your preflop hands until you get a hand that's worth
playing, or up to the turn etc, then you can.

program called Poker Academy. It has different types of bots running
within the program and one of these being the famous pokibot. Now
for those of you who are unfamiliar with the name pokibot, this is a
little guy who learns by his mistakes.
In other words, a bot that has artificial intelligence.
Online Pokibot
Well what has this
to do with online poker bots? you may ask. The answer is that someone
has attempted to make a program that allows these bots to be used
online. and they call it, "Online Pokibot". Now I used the word
attempted, because it is full of bugs and basically doesn't work.
And for this piece of rubbish, the price is,

FOR IT! $299 PER ANNUM.
It all sounds very expensive, does it not? Well if you will keep
reading a little longer we have a pleasant surprise for you.
BE WARNED! The support at this site
will not reply to any of your e-mails when you query the many
problems you will encounter. Neither will you receive a refund. As
this site will only accepted payments by pay pal, and as many of you
will already know, pay pal has a strict policy of fighting against
any cashback attempts.
Holdem Memory
Now we come to. HOLDEM MEMORY.
Now the reason that we have no problem with this particular program,
is that you gradually fine-tune it to play in any style that you so
wish. In other words, it will more than likely end up playing as you
would. So it is just a matter of, the buttons are being pressed but
not by you.
You all know what
it's like, you have been playing all evening, waiting for that good
run of cards, it finally comes, but NO! WAIT! The wife can't
seriously expect me to put that shelf up now, not now, any time but
now. NO PROBLEM! Just press the button, and let
HOLDEM MEMORY carry on
playing for you until you return.
And there is no
programming knowledge required to tune this bot, but it will take
you, in our experience, a few hours of your time to
get the results you
 desire.
The great thing about Holdem memory, is that it can be made to play
on auto up until, or, through any of the rounds. So if you are
tired of pressing fold until the right pocket cards come along let
Holdem Memory do it for you. or maybe you want to take control from
the turn, then no problem. of course if this is the case, then it
will take a lot less time to tune. OH! and if thats not enough, it
also calculates the odds of your hands etc.
Sounds like its
gonna be expensive right! The best news
is its not PER ANNUM. The most you will ever pay is $59 and thats
for the full version, the DEMO version is limited to play money if
you want to try it first, and you cant alter the demo profile, which
is a loser, but gives you a good idea of its potential capabilities. The full version is a must!
The down side, is that the support are very slow at
upgrading it, and at present it only works with 2 sites, Party and
Empire Poker, but still worth the money in our opinion.

workable profiles on this site. We have been only too happy to
